Applying for a visa can be intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be.
Our Licensed Immigration Adviser (LIA) can help you:
Choose the best visa for your situation
Understand and satisfy complex immigration policies
Minimize the anxiety of the visa process
Make an informed decision before you invest in your overseas education. We recommend schools and courses based on factors like your career aspirations, immigration objectives, academic history and financial situation. We’ll match you with an excellent school and identify the course most suitable for you.
The schools we represent are vetted to ensure that your expectations are met. When you choose to study with one of our accredited education providers, we also assist with the admissions process.
Talk to our LIA about your situation to know the immigration risks and opportunities ahead of you. Explore different visa categories and determine which one is the best for you. Develop a strategy to maximize your chances of success.
Have your application submitted and managed by a professional. Receive assistance with completing forms and compiling documents. Our LIA will help minimize processing delays by ensuring your application is decision-ready when submitted to INZ.
Seek a professional opinion if you’ve run in to problems with immigration. Our LIA will assess your situation and lay out a plan of attack for you. We’ll contend with INZ so that you don’t have to.
New Zealand aims to protect travelers, visa applicants, and migrants so it requires people providing immigration advice to be either licensed by the Immigration Adviser’s Authority (IAA) or exempt.
We strongly recommend that you look for an LIA if you need help with your visa situation. These are just a few of the most compelling reasons to get an experienced LIA to represent you:
LIAs are qualified for the job - they need to study and/or have significant experience to be granted a license. More information about our in-house LIA is available here.
You’ll be treated professionally – LIAs need to abide by a Code of Conduct and fulfil their professional obligations to you in order to keep their license.
LIAs are liable for misconduct – they are regulated by the Immigration Advisers Authority (IAA). If you feel that your LIA has acted unprofessionally or unethically, you can complain to the IAA. Upheld complaints can result in sanctions like payment of penalties, client refunds, and the cancellation of the LIA’s license.
LIA fees are fair and reasonable – they are prohibited from charging unjustified and overinflated fees. You can also expect them to invoice you appropriately, provide receipts for your payments and explain the breakdown of any fees they charge you.
You’ll have easy access to your records – LIAs are required to retain your file for several years after your visa has been processed. You can request for a copy of documents submitted with your previous application (eg transcript of records, employment certificate) if you need it for a new visa or job application for example.
You should also know that taking illegal advice can be risky. Persons providing immigration advice illegally may disadvantage you in a number of ways. For more information on the risks, you may visit the IAA’s website.
